Synopsis
Former UFC fighter faces his toughest battle to protect his beloved roadhouse
Elwood Dalton, a former UFC fighter, embraces a new start by becoming a bouncer at a roadhouse located in the Florida Keys. Night after night, he throws out troublemakers and gradually finds solace in his new role. However, when a feud jeopardizes his roadhouse, Elwood must rise to defend his newfound life, marking his toughest battle yet.

Doug Liman directs Jake Gyllenhaal in reimagining of celebrated Patrick Swayze-led original film
Road House is an action-drama film directed by Doug Liman for Amazon Prime Video. It serves as a reimagining of the 1989 film which originally starred Patrick Swayze as the protective bouncer at a roadside bar. Liman is an experienced director within the action genre, having helmed such films as The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jumper and Edge of Tomorrow. The screenplay for Road House is written by Anthony Bagarozzi, who previously co-wrote The Nice Guys with Shane Black, and Charles Mondry. Original Road House producer Joel Silver serves as a producer on the remake. Henry Braham tackles the cinematography duties on Road House; his previous credits include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Vol. 3, The Suicide Squad and The Flash.
Jake Gyllenhaal leads Road House portraying UFC fighter-turned-bouncer Elwood Dalton. He is an Academy Award-nominated actor having worked on such titles as Brokeback Mountain, Zodiac, Prisoners, Nightcrawler and Spider-Man: Far From Home. He is joined by Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad), Conor McGregor, J. D. Pardo (Mayans M.C.), Arturo Castro (Broad City) and Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die).
