The creative team from Aquaman return for Aquaman’s follow-up adventure in the DCEU
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a superhero film produced by DC Studios for Warner Bros. The film is directed by James Wan, returning after his success helming 2018’s first Aquaman film. The adventures take place within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and follow the story of the DC comics superhero Aquaman. While Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a direct sequel to Aquaman, the character also appears in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (for a brief moment) and in Justice League.
Jason Momoa reprises his role of Arthur Curry (aka Aquaman), a half-human/half-Atlantean with the ability to speak to aquatic lifeforms and swim at supersonic speeds. Amber Heard returns to her role as Mera. Willem Dafoe returns as the vizier of Atlantis and Aquaman’s mentor, Nuidis Vulko. Yahya Abdul-Mateen reprises his role as the King of Xebel, Black Manta, the film's main villain. Patrick Wilson also returns as Orm Marius, Aquaman’s half-brother, the former king of Atlantis.
