Struggling painter Jesse Hellman moves his family to their dream home in the Texas countryside. The previous owners met tragic ends—the wife died after falling down the stairs, and the husband, overcome with grief, took his own life. Soon after settling in, the young father becomes possessed by a satanic force and begins producing disturbing yet extraordinarily skilled paintings of the underworld, which he creates in a frenzied state.
