Wicked: For Good is an upcoming epic musical film produced by Universal Pictures. It is directed by Jon M. Chu and is the last installment of the two-part adaptation of Wicked following Wicked: Part One which released in 2024. Inspired by Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel, "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West," and characters from L. Frank Baum's 1900 classic, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," Wicked: For Good is written by Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz — the original creators of the beloved stage production. Chu's previous directing credits include 2018's Crazy Rich Asians and the 2021 musical In the Heights.
Cynthia Erivo reprises her role as Elphaba Thropp, the green-skinned Wicked Witch, in Wicked: For Good alongside Ariana Grande as Galinda Upland, who later becomes Glinda the Good Witch. Jonathan Bailey portrays Fiyero Tigelaar, the prince-turned-Scarecrow, while Jeff Goldblum portrays the Wizard of Oz. Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh takes on the role of Madame Morrible, the Headmistress of Shiz University.
