Synopsis

Adam and Harry begin a relationship, as Adam grapples with the death of his parents

After Adam bumps into his neighbour Harry one night in London, his life is thrown into chaos as they begin a relationship. Adam remains distracted, however, replaying memories of his family and unable to forget his childhood home where his mum and dad died thirty years ago.

Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell star in Andrew Haigh romance film ‘All of Us Strangers’

All of Us Strangers is a British romantic fantasy drama film directed by Andrew Haigh. Haigh is known for writing and directing the critically acclaimed films 45 Years, Lean on Pete and Weekend. Haigh wrote the screenplay for All of Us Strangers, based on Taichi Yamada’s 1987 novel ‘Strangers’. Another film adaptation of Yamada’s novel, The Discarnates, was directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi in 1988. The film is produced by Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin and Sarah Harvey, with Searchlight Pictures handling distribution. All of Us Strangers made its world premiere on 31 August, 2023 at the Telluride Film Festival in the U.S.

All of Us Strangers boasts a stellar cast. Andrew Scott (aka Fleabag’s Hot Priest, and Sherlock’s nemesis Jim Moriarty) plays Adam, starring opposite Paul Mescal (Normal People, Aftersun) as Harry. Claire Foy (The Crown) plays Adam’s Mum with Jamie Bell (Rocketman, Snowpiercer) as Adam’s Dad. Carter John Grout plays a younger version of Adam.
