After a hit gone wrong, an assassin is forced to go on the run. While evading capture, the previously cold and ruthless killer begins to develop a conscience he tries to keep at bay.
The Killer is an upcoming neo-noir action thriller produced by Netflix. Acclaimed director David Fincher directs the film from a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker, who previously collaborated with Fincher on the film Se7en. The film is based on the French graphic novel of the same name written by Alexis ‘Matz’ Nolent.
Starring in The Killer is Michael Fassbender, who portrays the professional assassin struggling with his conscience at the heart of the story. He is joined by Charles Parnell as the killer’s handler, Hodges, Sophie Charlotte as the killer’s girlfriend, Magdala, Tilda Swinton as a fellow assassin, The Expert, Sala Baker as another assassin, The Brute, and Kerry O'Malley as an Hodges’ office administrator, Dolores. Also featured in the cast are Arliss Howard, Emiliano Pernía, and Gabriel Polanco.
