What really makes it stand out is its eccentric and sometimes outlandish premise that blends the supernatural and extraterrestrial with a hint of romance. Viewers who enjoyed Chainsaw Man, One-Punch Man, and other wildly creative anime will love Dan Da Dan. It's also perfect for fans who enjoy stories with leads who share great chemistry. Okarun and Momo's relationship is sweet, funny, and relatable, with their palpable chemistry making them a couple viewers can root for.

Sporting a unique blend of sci-fi and horror, Dandadan is weird with a capital W, but it uses that weirdness to create an experience that's almost impossible to replicate. It's a perfect blend of the raunchy action of Chainsaw Man with the strangely wholesome characterization of Mob Psycho 100 that delivers on both fronts. Each episode feels like the kind of fever dream you have at three in the morning and wake up wondering why your brain would even come up with what it did. Only in Dandadan can an episode about a classroom mannequin searching for love be emotionally gripping and hilarious.
