Synopsis
The Pink Ladies finally get their origin story
Olivia, Jane, Cynthia, and Nancy are not your regular teenage girls. The quartet are the founding members of The Pink Ladies, a rebellious girl gang who are taking Rydell High by storm. Brushing aside the moral panic, this group of defiant young women dance only to their own tunes and play by their own rules.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies Season 1 is a musical romantic comedy television show. The show is based on the musical Grease created by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Season 1 is helmed by Annabel Oakes who is the writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the show. She shares directing credits with Alethea Jones who is responsible for directing three of the ten episodes in season 1. Acclaimed musician, Justin Tranter is producing original music and re-interpreting songs from the original musical, Grease. Jamal Sims is the choreographer working on the dance numbers.
Season 1 of Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies features four lead parts for the founding members of the Pink Ladies clique. Jane, Olivia, Cynthia, and Nancy are played by Maria Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso, and Tricia Fukuhara. The four female leads were chosen from an open casting call asking for performers who were able to act, sing and dance. Jackie Hoffman and Chris McNally are the supervising adults in the series playing Assistant Principal McGee and Mr. Daniels respectively. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies season 1 was released on Paramount+ on April 6th, 2023.
