This coming-of-age adventure drama sees four kids travelling through space in the ruins of the falling Empire. Growing up in the rise of a new Republic and in the turbulence of a transitional moment, these four adventurers are set for big journeys across the galaxy. Relying on themselves and maybe a little help in their search for home, Skeleton Crew must do with what they have as they turn outward to face new challenges in a new time. Expect mischief abound and at least one loveable rogue in this new original Star Wars story.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is an upcoming live-action sci-fi television series set in the Star Wars universe to be released on Disney+ in 2023. The series is set nine years after the Battle of Yavin. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew occurs after Return of the Jedi and around the same time as The Mandalorian Season 1.
The phrase 'to operate with a skeleton crew', means to have the minimum number of people needed to ensure that an operation can run. It is used in this context to refer to the four children stranded on a ship together travelling across the galaxy.
