Mike Flanagan and Carla Gugino reunite for The House of the Fall of Usher
The House of the Fall of Usher is a gothic horror miniseries on Netflix. Created by Mike Flanagan, the show is produced by Intrepid Pictures. The miniseries is based on a number of works by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. Flanagan writes and directs, teaming up with frequent collaborators Michael Fimognari and musical duo The Newton Brothers.
Flanagan is also reuniting with a number of actors including Carla Gugino who starred in his show The Haunting of Hill House and was a recurring character in The Haunting of Bly Manor. Henry Thomas, who played Henry Wingrave in The Haunting of Bly Manor will also appear in The House of the Fall of Usher. Other cast members include Bruce Greenwood as Usher family patriarch Roderick Usher, Mary McDonnell as Roderick’s twin sister Madeleine Usher and Carl Lumbly as C Auguste Dupin. Mark Hamill will also appear in the miniseries as Arthur Pym. Pym is the protagonist in Edgar Allan Poe’s only completed novel, which is called ‘The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket’ and was released in 1838.
