Akiva Goldsman adapts a chilling biography starring Tom Holland for Apple TV
The Crowded Room Season 1 is the first and only season of the psychological thriller miniseries produced by Apple Studios. Akiva Goldsman writes the series, after previously working on several Star Trek and DC comics productions, writing the scripts for I, Robot, and I Am Legend, and winning an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for A Beautiful Mind. The Crowded Room is loosely based on the 1981 biography The Minds of Billy Milligan by Daniel Keyes, about the first person ever acquitted of a major crime due to a diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID, formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder).
The Crowded Room stars Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) as the main character, Danny Sullivan, who is loosely based on Billy Milligan. Amanda Seyfried stars alongside Holland as Rya Goodwin, the interrogating officer. Other cast members include Emmy Rossum, Will Chase, Christopher Abbott, Sasha Lane, Jason Isaacs, Emma Laird, and others
