Caligula (1979)

The story of the rise and fall of the controversial mad Roman Emperor Caligula

Gaius Julius Caesar, otherwise known as Caligula, becomes Emperor of the Roman Empire after his uncle is killed. At first his rule seems fair and just, but as time goes on Caligula becomes increasingly unhinged and he begins to indulge in acts of extreme violence and sexual depravity that horrify the empire.
