Synopsis
In the English coastal city of Brighton a policeman, Tom Burgess and a school teacher named Marion fall in love. Set in the 1950s, the romance plays out as expected until the arrival of museum curator Patrick whose passion ignites a secret affair with Tom. As homosexuality was illegal in the UK, there is much for Tom and Patrick to lose. Will jealousy and societal tensions get in the way of their love?

My Policeman is a romantic drama film produced by Berlanti-Schechter Films for Amazon Prime. The movie is based on a 2012 novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts. Michael Grandage is the movie's director. Grandage made a name for himself primarily working as a British theater director, and has directed plays such as King Lear and Caligula. Ron Nyswaner is the screenwriter and Ben Davis serves as the cinematographer.
My Policeman stars pop star Harry Styles, Emma Corrin and David Dawson in the main three roles. The supporting cast includes Linus Roache, Rupert Everett and Kadiff Kirwan. My Policeman was released in cinemas on October 21st 2022.
