Synopsis

The rise and fall of a midwestern biker gang that brought together lost souls

Kathy and Benny are a young couple at the heart of an emerging biker gang. Led by the charismatic leader Johnny, the gang is made up of misfits and outcasts in midwestern America. But as the gang grows, its focus changes, and the loyalties of its members are tested. Kathy and Benny must navigate the difficulties of their personal relationship alongside their allegiance to the gang.

The Bikeriders is an American drama movie based on the book of the same name by Danny Lyon. The movie is written and directed by Jeff Nichols, a filmmaker known for the movies Take Shelter, Mud, and Loving. The music for the movie is composed by frequent Nichols collaborator David Wingo. The movie is produced by Regency Enterprises, New Regency, and Tri-State Pictures.

The Bikeriders features an all-star ensemble cast led by Jodie Comer who stars as Kathy. Comer is best known for her role as Villanelle in the television series Killing Eve. She is joined by Austin Butler who plays Benny and Tom Hardy who stars as Johnny. The cast also includes Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Norman Reedus, Boyd Holbrook, Toby Wallace, Karl Glusman, Emory Cohen, and Happy Anderson. The Bikeriders was released in theaters on June 21, 2024.
