Top Gun: Maverick

After three decades of service, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is still working hard as a courageous test pilot – avoiding the honourable yet unwanted promotion that would see an end to his flying days. As one of the Navy’s best aviators, he is tasked with training a detachment of Top Gun graduates. The group has a special mission that requires them to achieve something no pilot has ever done before them. Can Maverick help Rooster – the son of his late friend “Goose” – to overcome his uncertain future?

Top Gun: Maverick is an action movie directed by Joseph Kosinski. It is also known as Top Gun 2. The movie stars Hollywood action icon Tom Cruise, who reprises the role of Maverick for the first time since 1986. He is joined by Jennifer Connelly as Penny Benjamin and Miles Teller as Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw. The movie, which is a direct sequel to Top Gun, was directed by Joseph Kosinski.

The Tom Cruise movie was screened at Cannes Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation. Top Gun: Maverick was released in theaters on 27 May, 2022.
