Synopsis
Nigel Slater uses his culinary creativity to create great meals by showing us how to make the very best of the ingredients in the cupboard, fridge or freezer. We all waste far too much food and Nigel shows us that, with a little imagination, we can use every last bit of food to create dishes that are a treat to eat as well as being easy to cook. Nigel cooks a dish for every day of the week. He also champions the 'local shop' and in each episode he visits a different small store to get insights from the people who know their ingredients best: the shopkeepers.
