The Office (2005)

It might take a minute to click with The Office, with all those strange side-eye glances at the camera. But once you get used to it, you're in for one of the most rewarding comedy experiences out there. It's sharp, silly, and sneakily sweet. Steve Carell's Michael Scott is the cringe king with a heart of gold, and the rest of the ensemble (which includes Dwight, Jim, Pam, and even Creed) brings a weirdly wonderful energy to the show that turns everyday work life into comedic brilliance. Once you're a few episodes in, it's like being part of a very dysfunctional, very hilarious office family.
