Synopsis
Molly Wells thrives in post-divorce era, focusing on her Foundation and potential new love
A year after her highly publicized divorce from tech billionaire John Novak, Molly Wells has established herself as the successful leader of the charitable Wells Foundation. Boasting a thriving career and dedication to charity, she also potentially has a new love interest after swearing off dating. While enjoying her newfound status, Molly remains reliant on her loyal assistant Nicholas who supports her in her endeavors.

Maya Rudolph returns for second season of Apple TV+ comedy series
Loot season 2 is the upcoming season of the Apple TV+ comedy TV series created by Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard. Both Yang and Hubbard are respected comedy writers, having written on such celebrated TV shows as Parks and Recreation, Master of None, 30 Rock and Superstore. They previously co-created another series on Amazon Prime Video titled Forever which also starred Loot lead Maya Rudolph.
The aforementioned three also executive produce the series along with Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Renfrew Behrens and Dave Becky. Yang and Hubbard wrote a number of episodes for the second season; other writers include Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu, Emily Spivey, Zeke Nicholson, Matt Murray, April Korto Quioh, Anna Salinas, Maggie Sheridan and Nick Lehmann.
What is Loot about?
Following the end of her 20 year marriage and a whopping $87 billion settlement, Loot follows Molly Novak as she embarks on a journey to reengage with her charitable foundation. As she navigates this path, she finds herself reconnecting with the real world and uncovering new truths about her identity.
Who stars in Loot?
Maya Rudolph leads the series as Molly Novak. She is an accomplished comedian and actress who has previously been a cast member on Saturday Night Live alongside appearing in such titles as Idiocracy, Grown Ups, Bridesmaids, Sisters and earning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for her portrayal of Connie the Hormone Monstress in Netflix's Big Mouth.
She is joined by Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Pose) as Sofia Salinas, Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island) as Nicholas, Ron Funches (Harley Quinn) as Howard, Nat Faxon (The Descendants) as Arthur, Adam Scott (Severance) as John Novak, Meagen Fay (Malcolm in the Middle) as Rhonda, Stephanie Styles (Booksmart) as Ainsley and Olivier Martinez (Unfaithful) as Jean-Pierre. Benjamin Bratt (Miss Congeniality), Ana Gasteyer (Mean Girls) and O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid's Tale) are all new additions to the second season.
