Synopsis
Outlander season 7 unveils Claire's escape
In its previous season, the Ridge becomes tense when Jamie's enemy, Tom Christie, returns from Ardsmuir prison. The situation worsens after the murder of Malva Christie, a medical apprentice close to Claire. Claire is wrongly accused of the crime and taken to town for trial, believed to be a woman scorned. Meanwhile, Jamie faces deportation but is rescued by Ian just in time. Together, they set out to rescue Claire. Season 7 pick ups where season 6 left off, revealing how Claire manages to escape the trial and whether the true murderer of Malva is apprehended.

Seventh season of Outlander split into two parts
Outlander season 7 is the seventh season of the historical romantic drama TV series developed by Ronald D. Moore for Starz. The series is based on Diana Gabaldon’s popular novel series of the same name and follows Claire Randall, a former nurse during World War II who unexpectedly travels back in time from 1945 to 1743 Scotland. In this era, she meets and falls in love with Jamie Fraser, a brave Highlander belonging to the fictionalized Fraser clan. As Claire becomes deeply involved in the Jacobite uprising, her life takes a dramatic turn. Moore is best known for his work in the Star Trek universe as well as co-creating the Apple TV+ series, For All Mankind.
The seventh season of Outlander consists of sixteen episodes split into two parts with the first part released in June 2023 and the second part debuting in 2024. The season is based on the seventh book of the Outlander series titled “An Echo in the Bone” which was originally released in 2009. An Outlander spin-off series titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood was announced in January 2023, marking its first season with ten episodes. Additionally, the original Outlander series was renewed for its eighth and final season, also consisting of ten episodes.
Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan return as the beloved couple, Claire and Jamie Fraser respectively. Other returning cast members include Graham McTavish, Sophie Skelton, Nell Hudson, Steven Cree, Andrew Whipp, Layla Burns, and Lotte Verbeek.
Gloria Obianyo, Rod Hallett, Chris Fulton, Diarmaid Murtagh and Kristin Atherton join the cast in season 7.
