Synopsis
Season 2 of Yellowjackets introduces more survivors of the traumatic wintery crash
As presented in its first season, Yellowjackets season 2 uses a dual-timeline narrative to explore new mysteries from both the past and present. The story revolves around teenage survivors of a plane crash who must endure traumatic events while stranded in the wilderness, both in the winter of 1996 and in the present day. While Shauna, Taissa, Natalie, and Misty have been the focus of the story so far, new survivors are introduced in season 2. The young teenagers are forced to use extreme methods to survive in the harsh winter, eventually forming savage groups that prioritize their own success. The season also delves deeper into the religious beliefs and rituals of the stranded soccer players who become unrecognizable in their desperation.

Yellowjackets season 2 is the second season for the psychological survival thriller series created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and produced for Showtime. The first season was well-received by critics and garnered seven Emmy nominations. It was also renewed for a third season.
Yellowjackets features the younger and older versions of its characters. Melanie Lynskey and Sophie Nelisse star as the mysterious character Shauna while Tawny Cypress and Jasmin Savoy Brown play Taissa, a former soccer star who is now running for political office. Juliette Lewis and Sophie Thatcher play the recently abducted Natalie while Christina Ricci and Sammi Hanratty portray Misty. The enigmatic and frightening leader of the cult Lottie Matthews, also known as the Antler Queen, is played by Courtney Eaton.
