Masters of the Air Season 1 is an upcoming war drama miniseries. It is based on the book 'Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought The Air War Against Nazi Germany' by Donald L. Miller. The miniseries is created by John Shiban, known for his work on The X-Files and Breaking Bad. It is co-created by John Orloff who was a writer on the award-winning show Band of Brothers. Masters of the Air Season 1 features directors Cary Joji Fukunaga, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Dee Rees, and Tim Van Patten. The show is considered a companion work to Band of Brothers and The Pacific. The series is produced by Playtone, Amblin Television, and Apple Studios. Gary Goetzman, Tom Hanks, and Steven Spielberg all serve as executive producers.
