The Princess and the Frog star Anika Noni Rose reprises her role as Tiana in Disney’s TV spinoff show
Tiana Season 1 is the upcoming first season of the animated musical TV show produced by Disney. The show is a spinoff of Disney’s 2009 animated movie The Princess and the Frog, and is written and directed by Joyce Sherri. Sherri’s previous works include writing for Mike Flanagan’s Midnight Mass, and her short film Beauty, among others.
The Princess and the Frog star Anika Noni Rose returns to voice Princess Tiana in the show. So far, no other cast members have been confirmed.

- At Disney Investor Day 2020, the company first confirms that a TV show spinoff of The Princess and the Frog is in the works. The new show will be called Tiana and it will continue the Disney Princess’ story with a new musical adventure. (Source: Variety)

- Disney posts first-look concept art for the TV show on their Twitter, showing Tiana striding off of a ship. The post confirms that the show takes off shortly after the events of The Princess and the Frog.
